Alleged fraud: Court grants Sirika, daughter, others bail

A Federal High Court in Abuja granted ₦100 million bail each to former Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika, his daughter, and two others.

They are being tried for suspected fraud of ₦2.7 billion.

The court also requires them to submit two sureties who must own property in Abuja. The court stated that the sureties must be responsible citizens.

The sureties must depose to an affidavit of means. The court also restricted the defendants from traveling abroad without its permission.

Justice Oriji ordered that the defendants should be remanded in prison custody if they failed to meet their bail conditions.
