As part of the celebration to mark the 60 years of Grace and Growth of the Baptist Academy Kano tagged “Diamond Jubilee Celebration” held at First Baptist Church Kano, the school Management have given long service award to teachers who have served in the school for the past 10 years and above.
Speaking at the Alumni and Long Service Awards Dinner, the School Board Chairperson Mrs Florence Kemi Amao said: “It is instructive to note that this award is not just a recognition of past achievements, but also a symbol of your potential for future contributions in whatever capacity you find yourself here or elsewhere, academic or otherwise”.

“The society still needs you and we believe you will continue to be relevant until mortality compels you to lay down the baton with great legacy for many generations to come who will not stop speaking and cerebrating your hard works and achievements” she added.
Similarly, in his exhortation the Proprietor of the school, Rev Dr. Armstrong Olatunde Ajayi congratulated the awardees and then encouraged the graduate class of 2025 to pursue their academics programs in different platforms of learning they will have opportunity in after this level until they get to their arsenal in life.

Among the awardees are Mrs Ngozie Igboecheonwu who had served for 31 years, Mr Femi Fabeku 25 years, Anty Abigael Akintola 14 years, Mrs Omowumi Olukunle 14 years, Mrs Esther Shoroye 17 years, Mr Abimbola Adedirin 25 years, Anty Dada Tanimowo 28 years, Mrs Funmi Okekunle 20 years, Mrs Kemi Oladapo 11 years, Mrs Mary Amoo 11 years.
Others are Mrs Kikelomo Faforobi 10 years, Mrs Eunice Onifade 16 years, Mrs Mary Audu 20 years, Mrs Olubunmi Asayinka 14 years, Mr Joshua Samuel 13 years, Mrs Anthonia Umerah 12 years, Mr Adetunji Oloruntade 11 years, Mrs Grace Olorunleke 10 years, Mrs Blessing Nlem 10 years and Mr Ojo Adesakin 17 years.
It is worthy to note that Baptist Academy Kano in the journey of her 60 years of existence has produced national figures like Dr. Olusegun Agagu a former Governor of Ondo State, Apostle Femi Lazarus, Dn. Sadiq Suleiman who is a retired Regional Manager of First Bank Plc among many others.
