Inter-Tribe Community Support Forum, the apex socio-cultural movement in Kano state, has been following recent developments surrounding the Sallah Durbar activities in Kano with keen interest.

We wish to commend the Kano State Government under the leadership of H.E Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf for the measured and responsible manner in which it has handled the situation, particularly in issuing clear guidelines aimed at preserving peace, public safety, and the long-standing cultural heritage associated with the Durbar.

We also appreciate the professionalism and vigilance of our security agencies whose efforts continue to play a critical role in maintaining calm and stability across the state.

The Forum further acknowledges the restraint shown by Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero in respecting the position of the state authorities at this sensitive time. Such maturity contributes greatly to sustaining peace in our communities.

As the legal process regarding the emirship matter continues in court, we respectfully encourage all parties and their supporters to remain calm, law-abiding, and patient while awaiting the final judicial pronouncement.

Kano State remains a home to people of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Preserving peace, unity, and mutual respect must remain our collective responsibility.

Signed:

Mrs. Esther K. Abdullahi Secretary general

Nworisa Michael,
Coordinator, Inter-Tribe Community Support Forum
