Ganduje: Kano Judicial Commission of inquiry on recovery of stolen asset commence sitting

The Kano judicial commission of inquiry on the recovery of misappropriated public properties and assets by the former governor of the state, Abdullahi Ganduje has commenced its inaugural sitting with a promise to carry out it duties with all sense of fairness.

The chairman of the committee, Honorable Justice Faruk Lawan Adamu at the inaugural sitting said the committee is not out to witch-hunt or prosecute anyone rather it is on a fact finding mission that will help the present government to recover stolen public assets.

The committee as part of it terms of reference is expected to review the sale, disposal or allocation of all government owned properties within Kano urban area or other urban lands in other part of the country belonging to the state from 29th May, 2015 to 29th May, 2023.

The 12 man committee has representatives from the security agencies, anti-graft agencies, Trade unions, and civil society.
