Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, the Deputy Governor of Kano State, led a delegation on behalf of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to offer condolences and pay respects to His Highness, Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmad Nuhu Bamali.

According to a press statement issued to newsmen by Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, said this visit came in the wake of the recent loss of Emir Bamali’s younger brother, the late Alhaji Mansur Nuhu Bamali.

Recall Alhaji Mansur passed away in October while in transit to Morocco, during a layover at a private hospital in Lagos.

Deputy Governor Gwarzo and his delegation extended their condolences during the visit to the Emir’s palace in Zaria, Kaduna State on Sunday.

Comrade Gwarzo conveyed his sympathies during the visit and eulogized the late Alhaji Mansur, acknowledging not only the loss to the Emirate but to the entire nation. He commended Alhaji Mansur’s humility, kindness, and simplicity, despite his distinguished royal lineage and extensive educational background.

During the visit, Comrade Gwarzo also offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed and requested that the Emirate consistently remember late Alhaji Mansur and other departed souls in their prayers.

In response, Emir Ahmad Nuhu Bamali expressed his gratitude to the delegation representing Governor Abba for their condolences. He also prayed for their safe journey back to Kano State.

The Emir went on to reflect on Alhaji Mansur’s life, emphasizing that even though he passed away at the age of 52, his lifetime achievements were equivalent to that of someone who had lived a hundred years.

“Indeed, every soul shall taste death. Late Mansur lived an exemplary life worth emulating, and we pray for his final resting place to be the highest peak of Al-Jannah,” remarked the Emir.

Recall before his passing, Alhaji Mansur Nuhu Bamali had served as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Morocco and held the distinguished title of Magajin Garin Zazzau.”
