Lucky Aiyedatiwa has officially taken the oath of office as the Governor of Ondo State, marking the beginning of his first full four-year term.
This follows his initial assumption of office in 2023 after the passing of former Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on Monday at the Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure, just two months after Aiyedatiwa secured victory in the governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Aiyedatiwa was sworn in at exactly 12:59 PM, shortly after his deputy, Olayide Adelami, took the oath of office.
Following the ceremony, the newly inaugurated governor rode in an open van around the stadium, waving to an enthusiastic crowd of supporters who cheered and celebrated the historic moment.
Governor Aiyedatiwa, in his inaugural speech, reaffirmed his commitment to advancing development across the state and improving the lives of the people of Ondo.
