Nigerian Army Graduates 654 Special Forces to Combat Insecurity

The Nigerian Army has graduated 654 special forces with view to combat insecurity and training young soldiers to enhance their proficiency.

Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Taoreed Lagbaja stated this at the graduation ceremony of 654 special forces troops of Exercise Restore Hope(V), held at the Nigeria Army training center Kachia, Kaduna State.

Lagbaja explained that the essence of the training was to make the troops better equipped in confronting security challenges.

He charged the troops to justify the huge investment made on them by stamping out security challenges in their various areas of deployment across the country.

The Army Chief reminded them on the need to synergize with sister security agencies for effective service delivery.

General Lagbaja also warned criminal elements to lay down their arms or be stamped out by the troops.

Exercise Restore Hope is an advanced infantry cum special forces training designed to further enhance the capability of young soldiers.

A total of 654 special forces troops graduated after undergoing a 16 weeks training.

Highpoints of the event were the display of various graduation drill by the troops.

The Chief of Army Staff was also at the Nigerian Army School of Artillery-NASA Kachia, where he commissioned the NASA bakery.
