Popular Islamic singer, Rukayat Gawat dies

Popular Nigerian Islamic singer, Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso has died.

Rukayat was well-known for her captivating voice and religious music that resonated with many in the Muslim community.

The late singer was married to Alhaji Shakiri Oyefeso.

She was pronounced dead in the early hours of Tuesday.

The Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Jubril Gawat, who is a relative of the deceased confirmed her death.
