The Kano State Government has directed all private and voluntary schools in the state to comply strictly with the 2024/25 school calendar, as released by the state Ministry of Education.
According to a statement issued by Director of Special Duties, stated that all primary and post-primary schools in Kano State are expected to close on Friday, February 28, 2025, and reopen on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
The statement warned that any school that fails to comply with this directive will face penalties.
This directive is in line with the policy of the Kano State Government, under the leadership of HE Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, to ensure improved teaching and learning, while promoting balanced and sustainable growth in schools across the state.
The Kano State Ministry of Education is committed to providing high-quality education, and this directive aims to ensure that all schools in the state operate in accordance with the approved calendar.
