President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 50 percent transportation reduction, has been described as a good palliative, that would reduced high cost of transportation fare, relief during the Christmas and New year festivities.
Making the commendation on Sunday in Kano, Reverend (Dr.) Armstrong Ola Ajayi, of First Baptist Church, Kano,in an interview with Newsmen in Kano lauded the President Tunibu for a job well-done.
In his sermon to mark the Christmas celebration ,said, the announcement of 50 percent transportation reduction across the country came at a right time .
” I would say that this is the first time ,I would hear and witness such a gesture ,especially from the Federal government of this country adding that many people were happy with the announcement.
He said that the 50 percent transportation reduction, would go along way ,by made people that wanted to travel to have a sigh of relief going by the high cost of transportation they could have faced
.
Aside of that the Federal government also made traveling by rail to be free, noting that all these would afford many people who could not afford traveling, to embarked on traveling ,as they would only pay a 50 percent of their traveling fare
Dr.Ajayi therefore hinted that president Tibubu ,have to be given a Kudo on this unique gesture ,because ,people were passing through a very terrible economic situation, saying this would in fact ameliorate the economic predicament people faced in view of subsidy removal that has made everything to be expensive in the country.
While commenting on Christmas celebration ,Dr.Ajayi stated that the significance of Christmas, is to show love to fellow human being ,because the Jesus Christ ,we were celebrated today preaches love and caring for others
The Christmas celebration would be meaningless to we Christian, if such a Christian failed to remember those lest privileged people in our surrounding adding we have to extended the sane love of what Almighty God has given to us to them.
Dr.Ajayi further called on Christian to reach out to less privileged people ,who were facing one problem or other to give them our widows mite ,so that they also we celebrate the festival from the gift given to them.
He however called on the teeming masses of the country ,irrespective of religion or tribal affiliations to be praying for the present government to success, in its task of taking us to the promise land ,toward executing friendly projects that would have a direct bearing on the common man.
