Former President Muhammadu Buhari has described Nigeria as a challenging country to govern.

Speaking at an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting in Katsina, Buhari reflected on his time in office, noting that despite his efforts to address the nation’s challenges, he was often subjected to criticism.

He remarked, “Those outside the corridors of power do not understand the complexities and difficulties facing Nigeria.”

The former president also humorously noted that his health has improved since leaving office. “People who visited me told me I look better than before,” he said.

Reflecting on his political journey, Buhari urged political leaders to fear Allah and remain transparent in managing public funds.

The stakeholders’ meeting, convened in preparation for the February local government elections, was attended by the state governor, Dikko Umar Radda, former Governors Aminu Bello Masari and Ibrahim Shehu Shema, as well as current and former members of the National Assembly and other party chieftains.
