The Coalition of APC Youth Movements, Kano State, has appealed to Nigerian Youths to avoid participating in the proposed nation wide protest scheduled for Aug.1, 2024, against the current economic situation in the country.

The Coalition Chairman, Hon.Adamu Mukhtar-Unguwargini, made the call while briefing newsmen on Tuesday in Kano.

He said constructive dialogue with the government was the only way to address the issue raised by the youths.

“We acknowledge the legitimate concerns and grievances of the youth. We say no to protest and strongly advise against participating in this protest.

“History has shown that protests, even when well-intentioned, have often not
resulted in the desired outcomes.

“Protest led to further instability and suffering, as witnessed in countries like Sudan, Libya, and recently, Kenya.

“In these nations, protests did not resolve the issues but rather
exacerbated the challenges faced by the populace” Mukhtar-Unguwargini said

According to him, open communication and collaboration are more effective in pressing home our demands and ensuring that the voices of the youth are heard.

“We believe that a peaceful approach will yield better results and prevent the potential for unrest and
violence”

He called on governments at all levels to take decisive and immediate
actions to alleviate the suffering of the masses.

“It is crucial that the government
address the economic and social challenges facing the country, providing
tangible solutions to improve the quality of life for all Nigerians.

“Let us all work together towards a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria” Adamu Mukhtar-Unguwargini said
