TETFund: Former Governor, Aminu Masari to chair new Board

The former Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari has been appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to chair a newly constituted board of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund)

A statement endorsed by the President’s Spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale disclosed that the President also approved six members to serve on the board.

They are Senator Sani Danladi, Sunday Adepoju, Nurudeen Adeyemi, Esther Ukachukwu, Turaki Ibrahim and Aboh Eduyok.

Ngelale further stated that the President expects the new members of the board to be dedicated and committed to driving the objective of Tetfund while they also provide the needed support for tertiary education to enhance the productivity and quality of higher education.

The New Chair’s Background

Born on May 29, 1950 Aminu Masari hails from Masari village of Kafur local government area of Katsina State and served as Governor of the State from 2015 to 2023.

 

He was the speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives between 2003 and 2007.

Masari was the Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport in Katsina state from 1991 to 1993.
