2027: President Tinubu retains Kashim Shettima as running mate

The National Working Committee of the APC and top party leaders are currently meeting at the Continental Hotel, Abuja, to formally unveil Vice President Kashim Shettima as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s running mate for the 2027 presidential election.

Senior APC leaders at the venue confirmed to Punch that President Tinubu has re-nominated Shettima and the party is set to make it official today.

The move ends speculation that Tinubu would drop Shettima for a northern Christian ahead of 2027.
