Babangida pays surprise visit to Sani Abacha Stadium, assures government’s commitment on facilities

The chairman of Kano State Sports Commission KSSC, Alhaji Muhammad Tukur Babangida has reiterated his commitment to improving sports infrastructure and promoting excellence in sports administration in the state.

Babangida stated this when he paid a surprise visit to Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar mata where he was warmly received by the stadium management, staff and thousands of well-wishers.

The visit marks his first official inspection of one of the facilities under the commission since receiving the handover from his predecessor.

Addressing the staff, Babangida urged them to remain committed to their duties, particularly in the area of stadium maintainence and healthy.

The chairman called on all members of the staff to work collectively in delivering the Commission’s vision and ensuring that Sani Abacha Stadium becomes one of the finest and most admired sporting facilities in the country.

Babangida added that the aims of the visit was to strengthening the working relationship between the chairman and the commission’s workforce , while assessing the current state of the stadium and identifying areas that require the government’s attention.

The chairman used the opportunity to also called on sports stakeholders to continue to partner with the commission aimed at moving the state to greater heights.
