Bandits have reportedly attacked Tsiga village in Katsina State, kidnapping retired Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga, a former Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, along with eight others.

The bandits, numbering in the dozens, arrived on motorcycles around midnight, using torchlights to locate their targets’ homes.

According to eyewitnesses, the bandits went straight to the houses of their targets, including Brigadier Tsiga’s residence.

This is not the first time Tsiga community has been attacked, as they have faced multiple attacks by armed bandits over the past seven years.

In a similar incident, bandits disguised as soldiers recently raided Tasharnagulle village in Batsari county, Katsina State, abducting 31 locals.

The bandits, dressed in military uniforms, deceived the villagers by claiming they were sent to protect them.
