Kano Govt pledges housing units for growing population

The Kano state housing corporation KSHC has pledged to provide and Maintain habitable housing units for the growing population of the state.

The Managing Director of Kano State Housing Corporation, Alh. Abdullahi Rabiu gave the indication when he visited the Chairman Kano State Pension Funds trustee Alh. Habu Mohammad Fagge in his office.

According to a statement release by the director of public enlightenment of the corporation, Ismail Gwammaja, said, the Managing Director was at the pension Funds Trustee for the official taking over of three hundred and twenty four (324) housing units within the three mega cities of Kwankwasiyya, Amana and Bandirawo cities respectively which was initially managed by the pension Funds Trustee, have now been formally transferred to the Kano State Housing Corporation, making a significant milestone in the state efforts to improve housing delivery and management, he stressed.

Alh. Rabiu further commended the governor of Kano State Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf for his sterling administrative leadership style for coming up with ideas and innovation that would improve the housing system in the state.

Earlier, in his address the Chairman Pension Funds Trustee Alh. Habu Mohammad Fagge says this houses, which were previously managed by the Pension Funds Trustee, have now been formally transferred to the Kano State Housing Corporation, since the governor have settled all the money for these houses which were used to settle the pension backlog in the state.

The Chairman pension Funds Trustee appreciated the Corporation’s efforts in taking over the responsibility of this houses expressed optimism that with the MD on board this houses would soon be fully utilized by the original occupants.
