Dangote Petroleum Refinery has introduced a nationwide hotline for reporting filling stations selling Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) above the approved price of N739 per litre at MRS stations nationwide.
The refinery, which recently began selling PMS at N739 per litre across Nigeria, urged citizens to report violations via 0800 123 5264.
The initiative aims to prevent overpricing at more than 2,000 MRS Oil Nigeria Plc stations and ensure that affordable fuel reaches every consumer. Dangote Refinery emphasized its mission to deliver high-quality, locally refined fuel while supporting national economic interests.
With a guaranteed daily output of 50 million litres, the refinery warned against attempts to create artificial scarcity or manipulate supply, describing such acts as unpatriotic and unacceptable.
By refining fuel locally at scale, Dangote said it is helping reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imports, conserve foreign exchange, stabilize the Naira, and strengthen energy security. Thus, consumers were strongly advised to avoid purchasing overpriced fuel when cheaper, high-quality alternatives are available.
