Breaking: Zulum Transmits Commissioner Nominees to Borno Assembly

Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State on Tuesday forwarded a list of nominees for the position of Commissioner to the State House of Assembly.

The announcement was made by Barrister Mustapha Ali Busuguma, the Permanent Secretary of the Government House, through his LinkedIn account.

“Earlier today, on the instruction of His Excellency, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, I conveyed to the Borno State House of Assembly, a list of nominees for appointment as Honourable Commissioners,” wrote Busuguma.

He further mentioned being warmly received by Rt. Hon. Abdulkarim Lawan, the Speaker of the House of Assembly.

The statement did not specify the number of names on the list. However, it is noteworthy that the position of the Ministry of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Resettlement (3R) Commissioner has been vacant since his unfortunate demise on October 21, 2023.

Additionally, the announcement hinted at potential changes in the structure of some ministries. Notably, the Ministry of Education, which encompasses Science and Technology, Innovation, and Higher Education, may undergo a restructuring process
