Again, history was made on Wednesday, 1st July, 2026, as the leadership of the Baptist Theological Seminary, Kaduna, officially changed hands during a formal handover ceremony held at the seminary’s President office in the Kawo campus.
The outgoing Acting President, Rev. Dr. Manasseh H. Panpe, formally handed over the mantle of leadership to the new President, Rev. Dr. Babatunde Ogunlana, an indigene of Ogbomoso, Oyo State who is also an associate professor of Old testament studies.
The event marked the end of Rev. Dr. M.H Panpe’s tenure as Acting President, during which he was commended for his dedicated leadership and commitment to the growth and stability of the institution.
Rev. Dr. Ogunlana’s assumption of office has been described as a significant milestone for both the seminary and the Nigerian Baptist Convention.
His appointment is expected to usher in a new chapter of academic excellence, spiritual growth, and institutional development.
As the seminary begins a new era under its new President, prayers have continued to pour in for God’s wisdom, strength, and guidance upon Rev. Dr. Ogunlana as he leads the institution, while appreciation has also been expressed to Rev. Dr. Manasseh H. Panpe for his exemplary service and contributions during his time as Acting President.
Recall that Daily Fact reports the appointment of Ogunlana which was ratified at the Nigerian Baptist Convention in Session which ended in Abuja on the 23rd April 2026 as he will serve a tenure of five years that is renewable.
