Katsina Gov Radda endorses Gusau for NFF second term as President

Governor Umaru Dikko Radda has endorsed the incumbent President of the Nigerian Football Federation NFF, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau for a second term in office.

Malam Umaru Dikko Radda stated this while receiving the NFF president who paid a courtesy visit at Katsina Government House.

The Governor who described administration’s of Gusau led board as transformation of youth soccer as well as making frantic efforts in the development of Nigerian Leagues.

The governor called on football stakeholders and the National Sports Commission NSC led by Malam Shehu Dikko to work collectively towards the overall development of sporting events particularly football game in the country, Africa and globally.

Malam Umaru Dikko Radda, however, pledged to continue to partner with federation aimed at promoting and developing the game in Katsina and the country at large.

Earlier, the NFF president, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau expressed gratitude to the Governor for providing conducive environment for Gusau/Ahlan Pre season tournament in Katsina, assuring that the federation will continue to partner with various relevant agencies within and outside the country in order achieve the desired objectives.

Gusau then commended the President Bola Ahmad Tinubu for his commitment and support to the federation, promising that the NFF will continue to do it’s best aimed at improving and promoting the image of the country in Africa and the world.

In the final match Gusau/Ahlan Pre season soccer tournament, Ranches Bees of Kaduna emerged winners of this year’s edition if the championship after beating Kwara United of Ilorin 7-6 in a penalty shoot out.

Sixteen football clubs across the country have taking part in the 10-days soccer tournament.

Over 30 state football association chairmen and representative of Katsina state governor as well as other stakeholders across the country attended the closing ceremony held at Muhammad Dikko Stadium, Katsina.

Highlights of the event include presentation of medals, gifts and trophies to the deserving winners and runners up at the occasion.
