EFCC, NBA to Strengthen Collaboration in Tackling Graft in Edo State

The Benin Zonal Directorate of the EFCC and the leadership of the Nigeria Bar Association, Benin Branch, have agreed to work together in tackling the menace of economic and financial crimes and other forms of criminality in Edo State.

This resolution was reached when the newly elected executives of the Benin branch of the NBA paid a courtesy visit to the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Commission.
The NBA chairman, Omorodion Omoigui who led the executives said the visit was to familiarize themselves with the leadership of the Commission and strengthen the existing relationship between the NBA and the EFCC in tackling graft in the state.

He noted that the Commission was a crucial institution in the criminal justice ecosystem due to the high numbers of cases it prosecutes in the court.
Responding, the Ag Zonal Director, Deputy Commander of the EFCC, Sa’ad Hanafi Sa’ad, congratulated the newly elected executive on their successful election.

He noted that the EFCC recognizes the importance of the Bar in the discharge of it work and that the visit will strengthen the existing relationship between the two organisations.
