JUST IN: Lagos Assembly speaker, Obasa, loses father

In a solemn announcement, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has lost his father, Alhaji Sulaiman Obasa.

Alhaji Obasa passed away on Tuesday morning.

The confirmation of his demise came from Fatai Olagoke Ajibola, Secretary of the Orile Agege Local Council Development Area chapter of the All Progressives Congress and Special Adviser to the Speaker on Political and Legislative Affairs.

Ajibola stated that Alhaji Obasa would be buried the same day according to Islamic rites.

“Late Alhaji Obasa will be buried this evening (Tuesday) in accordance with Islamic injunctions. The venue of the Janazah prayer will be communicated in due course,” Ajibola added.

This announcement marks a moment of mourning for the Obasa family and the larger community, as they prepare to honor and remember the life of Alhaji Sulaiman Obasa.
