At 60, Dn. Sadiq Suleiman stands as a man whose life has been defined by faith, humility, compassion, and service to humanity.

His journey at 60 is not merely a celebration of age, but a celebration of purpose, impact, character, and legacy.

Dn Sadiq Suleiman was born on the 20″ day of August 1966 in Kano to the family of late Mr. Ahmed Daku Solomon and Mama Regina Akpe Solomon nee Adoh.
He began his formal education in 1971 at the Baptist Kindergarten School Kano from where he went to Holy Trinity School Kano to begin his primary education which he completed in 1977 with a First School Leaving Certificate at St. Louis Primary School also in Kano.

He proceeded to St. Thomas Secondary School Kano for his secondary education where he graduated with respectable WAEC O’ Level result in 1982. Sadiq was privileged to represent Kano State in 1982 with a classmate of his at the All-National Secondary School Radio Quiz at Maiduguri after their school won the competition at the state level. He had a stint at the School of Basic Studies Zariafor A’ Level education, and moved to the newly established then Federal University of Technology Bauchi, subsumed as a college of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, graduating with BSc (Hons) in Applied Microbiology in
1988.

He served his father land in the NYSC scheme in Lagos before leaving for the United Kingdom in 1990 as a Rotary Foundation Scholar at the University of Wales, College of Swansea where he graduated in 1993 with an MSc (Econ) degree in Food Policy & Commodity Trade.

Sadiq began his professional career with First Bank in 1997 after a stint with his father’s businesses in Kano. His work took him to several cities and worked in different roles in the Bank. He attended several courses while at the bank and won several accolades most prominent being the most profitable private banking team lead in 2011. He retired at the enviable level of a Principal Manager from the service of the bank on 31″ December 2024, going into private financial consulting. To God be the glory.
An ordained deacon of the Baptist Church, he is actively involved in both spiritual and non-spiritual matters of his local church – First Baptist Church Kano, serving in different roles and capacities, prominent of which are being a one-time Church Treasurer, and the current Chairman of the Diaconate.

A dedicated Sunday School teacher and a lover of Missions and Evangelism, he is also involved in Baptist work at different levels propagating the Good News and Love of Jesus Christ.
Sadiq got married to his soul mate Abigail nee Akinkunmi in 1999 and together they are blessed with adorable biological and non-biological children.
A lover of football (Chelsea FC fan), music, history, politics and philosophy, Sadiq has a passion for Biblical hermeneutics and exegesis and, loves solving crossword
