Former President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday received a delegation of governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) at his Kaduna residence in a visit described as a Sallah homage.
The delegation, led by Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), Hope Uzodimma, said the visit was to offer Sallah greetings and congratulate the former president on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Uzodimma said the visit was a show of solidarity and a mark of appreciation for Buhari’s leadership and enduring legacy.
“This visit is symbolic and deeply rooted in respect, loyalty, and continued appreciation for the statesmanship, leadership, and legacy of President Muhammadu Buhari,” Uzodimma stated. “As a party, we remain united and committed to the ideals of good governance which he championed during his tenure.”
Governors who accompanied Uzodimma included Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Uba Sani (Kaduna), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), and Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo).
Others present were Monday Okpebholo (Edo), Usman Ododo (Kogi), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), and Hyacinth Alia (Benue).
