The Ogun State Police Command has arraigned the suspended Olorile of Orile Ifo, Oba Semiu Adewale Ogunjobi, for assaulting a 73-year-old chief, Abraham Areola.

Oba Ogunjobi assaulted the Septuagenarian in a video which went vital on social media.

However, it was gathered that Ogunjobi was arraigned on three counts bordering on conspiracy, assault and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.

Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Nigeria Police Force spokesman, confirmed his arraignment in a statement on Tuesday.

The statement reads, “The Kabiyesi Abdulsemiu Ogunjobi, who assaulted one elderly man in a viral video, in Ifo Ogun State, has been charged to court today February 4, 2025, on a three-count of conspiracy, assault and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.

“He was granted bail while the case was adjourned to 06/03/2025.”

The statement added that justice would be served on the matter.

“The police will continue to uphold the rule of law and the core values of the noble profession,” Adejobi said.
