Nigerian Baptist Inducts Rev. Dr. Olusola Idowu as 8th Indigenous President

The Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC) on Friday, formally inducted Rev. Dr. David Olusola Idowu as its new President at the Baptist International Convention Centre (BICC), Lufuwape, Ogun State.

The induction ceremony, marks a new chapter in the leadership of the Convention.

Rev. Dr. Idowu succeeds Rev. Dr. Israel Adelani Akanji, who completed his tenure upon reaching the mandatory retirement age.

Before his ratification and induction as the 8th indigenous President of the Convention, Rev. Dr. Idowu served for over a decade as Senior Pastor of Ajayi Dahunsi Memorial Baptist Church, Ilasamaja, Lagos.

He also served as Chairman of the Pastors’ Fellowship of the Lagos East Baptist Conference.
