Ogogo: Nollywood Stars, Family, Friends Gather in Ilaro for 8-Day Fidau Prayer

It was a solemn and emotional gathering at the 8-day Fidau prayer for veteran Yoruba movie star, Alhaji Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, who died at the age of 66, as family members, friends, colleagues, veteran and younger Nollywood stars, as well as well-wishers, converged once again at the Ilaro Community Pavilion to honour his memory through prayers.

The Fidau attracted notable personalities from the Yoruba movie industry, alongside respected Islamic clerics who offered heartfelt prayers for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late movie veteran.

The gathering provided another opportunity for Ogogo’s loved ones, colleagues and admirers to reflect on his remarkable contributions to the Yoruba film industry and pay tribute to a respected actor whose influence and legacy will continue to live on.

His colleagues and admirers remembered him for his remarkable talent, dedication and longstanding contributions to the growth and development of the Yoruba film industry.

As family, friends and colleagues continue to mourn his passing, prayers were offered for the forgiveness of his shortcomings and the peaceful repose of his soul.

May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest, and strengthen and comfort his children, family, colleagues, friends and all those around the world mourning his passing.
