FCE Pankshin gets new acting VC

The Governing Council of the Federal University of Education Pankshin under the leadership of Hon. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jere Ndazhaga as the new Acting Vice Chancellor of the University, effective August 14, 2025, for a period of three months.

This appointment follows the expiration of the tenure of Dr. (Mrs.) Christiana Fwenji Zumyil.

As Acting Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ndazhaga will oversee the affairs of the University, serving as Chairman of Senate, Convocation, and Congregation, and a member of the Council.

This appointment recognizes his exceptional scholarly contributions, administrative expertise, and dedication to the institution.

The Governing Council commends Dr. (Mrs.) Christiana Fwenji Zumyil for her exceptional leadership qualities, devotion, and dedication to duty during her tenure.

The Council appreciates her significant contributions to the progress and success of the institution, particularly in the transition from a College to a Federal University of Education.

Dr. Zumyil has since handed over to the most senior Chief lecturer, signifying a smooth transition.

Dr. Jere Ndazhaga was born on November 3, 1962, in Oguma, Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi State.

He holds various academic qualifications, including a Doctor of Education degree from the Hong Kong Institute of Education.

With over three decades of experience in education, Dr. Ndazhaga has published numerous journal articles, books, and conference papers.

He is a member of several professional associations and a registered teacher with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria.

Ushering the new Acting Vice Chancellor into Office, a special prayer session was held in his Office led by the Chaplain, Chapel of Redemption Federal University of Education Pankshin Rev. Ephraim Ngwang who prayed for wisdom, courage and divine guidance as the new Acting Vice Chancellor embarks on his new role.

The Acting Vice Chancellor Dr. Jere Ndazhaga has since assumed duty having series of meetings with stakeholders, internal Council members, Deans and Directors as well as the various Unions on Campus: COEASU, SSUCOEN, NASU, NAAT & SUG.

The University congratulates Dr. Ndazhaga on his appointment and looks forward to his leadership.
